The Touch ID is now available on the latest Macbook Pro and Air models. When you are setting up your new Mac, it allows you to set up Touch Id with a fingerprint. If you are already added a Fingerprint and skipped to setting up the Touch Id. You can Add Now Fingerprint on Mac by following below step-by-step instructions.

  • Touch Id is available at the top right side of the function keys
  • You are allowed to add one or more fingerprints to Mac
  • You can add up to 3 fingerprints on your Apple Mac.

How to Add Fingerprint on Mac

Step 1: On your Mac, on the top left corner of the screen, click on “Apple Icon”

Step 2: Click on “System Preferences”

Step 3: Under the System preference screen, click on “Touch ID”

Step 5: Enter the password of your Mac computer to add a fingerprint and click on Ok

Step 6: Now place a finger on Touch Id to get capture the finger

How to Delete Fingerprint on Mac

If you want to delete added fingerprints on your Mac for any security reasons, follow these step-by-step instructions on how to delete fingerprints

Step 1: Navigate to the Apple icon > System Preference > Touch ID

Step 2: Select the “Fingerprint” to remove

Step 3: A message will be displayed as “Are you sure you want to permanently delete the fingerprint“, click on the “delete” option to continue to delete.
