You can easily delete any file or folder in Google Drive permanently or temporarily. When you delete a file or folder, the deleted files will be moved to a bin folder (trash folder) and kept for up to 30 days.

How to delete files and folders in Google Drive
Step 1: On your computer, open a browser and navigate to drive.google.com
Step 2: Enter your Google account login details to Sign in to your Google Drive account
Step 3: Navigate to the “My Drive“ folder
Step 4: Choose a file or folder that would delete from your Google Drive. Right-click on file/ folder and then click on “Remove“
Step 5: Now the deleted files and folder will be moved to the bin folder. Navigate to the “Trash” folder
Step 6: From the Trash folder, Right-click on the folder and click on “Delete Forever”
Note: Click on “Restore” to restore the deleted files or folder on Google Drive.

Step 1: On your iPhone, open a Google Drive app
Step 2: Navigate to the Files folder > Choose a file or folder that you want to delete
Step 3: Tap on 3 dotted menu > and then click on “Remove”

Step 1: On your Android phone, open a Google Drive app
Step 2: Navigate to files or folders that you want to delete from the Google drive
Step 3: On the right side of the file or folder, click on More menu
Step 4: Now click on “Remove” to delete the selected file
Step 5: The deleted files will be moved to the bin folder. Navigate to the bin folder and tap on the option “delete forever” to delete the folder permanently on Drive.
